Balinese massage is a unique form of body and spirit therapy, combining relaxation with oriental ritual, which originated on the Indonesian island of Bali. At NUSA SPA in Warsaw, we are inspired by the traditions and techniques of massage from Bali – a place renowned for its harmony, spirituality and respect for nature. This traditional Balinese massage is a combination of influences from many cultures – from Indian Ayurveda, to traditional Chinese medicine, to ancient Javanese healing techniques.
Balinese massage in its traditional form not only brought relaxation, but was also part of a spiritual ritual to restore the body’s energy balance, and was also a natural method of treating both physical and emotional ailments.
Traditional Balinese massage is a combination of traditions and techniques such as acupressure, reflexology, stroking, compression and stretching. The main goal of the treatment is to restore balance in the body by stimulating energy flow and reducing tension. The Balinese massage has a relaxing effect, improves circulation and promotes natural self-healing processes, having a positive effect not only on the body, but also on one’s mood.
Preparing for a Balinese massage at NUSA SPA in Warsaw
Take care of your body hygiene and avoid heavy meals before a Balinese massage. Come to the massage parlor at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that you can prepare for the massage in peace, have time to change your clothes and take a moment to calm down. Provide the receptionist with information about health complaints. After the treatment, plan to take a moment to relax in the salt graduation tower – to enhance the relaxation effects. Share your massage experience with the front desk. We are committed to continually improving our treatments and service to best meet the needs of our clients.
Arrive a few minutes early to complete your customer card and review our terms and conditions, which are also on our website. Before your Balinese massage, our reception team will chat with you to personalize your experience and help you discover the perfect pressure for your session mild or moderate – let us also know if there are any parts of your body you would like to avoid or focus on during your massage. Our friendly reception team will guide you to your treatment room and explain everything you need to know. When you are ready, simply use the remote control to let your therapist know, and they will knock before coming in. Your massage will take place on a comfortable professional table, and we provide disposable underwear for your convenience. Balinese massage is a full-body treatment. It may also include face and head massage, depending on your preferences (our Balinese massage includes a soothing treatment for the face and head as a standard). Your therapist will gently remove your makeup, allowing you to fully unwind and trust in the skilled hands of our Balinese experts. Once your massage is complete, we invite you to extend your relaxation with a peaceful session in the brine tank.
Contraindications to Balinese massage
Balinese massage is not performed, among other things. With fever, infections, skin diseases, acute inflammation, fresh injuries, during pregnancy and after certain aesthetic medicine procedures. If in doubt – consult the NUSA SPA Reception. Information on contraindications is also included in the NUSA SPA regulations.

Voucher – entitles the person indicated in it to use the massage of his choice or to use the amount of money specified in it for the period indicated in the voucher
Promotional packages include interchangeable Balinese massage, Thai massage, Balinese massage with warm oils, bamboo relaxation massage and lomi-lomi massage with aromatherapy.
Promotional Packages are issued in paper form and can be used until the end of the validity period indicated in their content. If the validity of a Promotional Package is specified as a number of months from the date of purchase of the Promotional Package, the Promotional Package shall be valid until the expiration of the number of months specified in the Package, calculated from the month following the month of purchase. Promotional Packages may also be issued in electronic form, in which case (except for vouchers) they are subject to exchange for the corresponding Promotional Packages in paper form during the first visit to the NUSA SPA Massage Parlor. Promotional Packages are not exchangeable in whole or in part for money, and the indicated validity period is not extended, and upon its expiration NUSA SPA’s obligation to the Customer expires.
Promotional packages do not combine with other promotions, nor do they add up. A customer can only use one of them at a time.
For Quota Vouchers, if the value of the goods or services exceeds the value of the Voucher, the Customer is required to pay the difference. Quota Vouchers do not include promotional prices.
With the purchase or receipt of the Promotional Package, its purchaser or holder declares that he/she has read these Regulations, accepts their provisions in full and agrees to abide by them.
Promotional packages are subject to use in the network of NUSA SPA salons, unless otherwise stated in their content.
The Promotional Package holder is required to book the service in advance. The basis for the performance of the promotional service is the prior provision of the Promotional Package number to the salon staff.
The Exhibitor has the right to refuse to redeem the Promotional Package in case of 1) expiration of the Promotional Package, 2) loss or damage of the Promotional Package making it unidentifiable, or 3) lack of prior reservation of the treatment date at the salon. The Exhibitor also has the right to exclude particular selected days or periods from the Promotional Packages (but not more than a total of 12 calendar days per year). The following days are always excluded from the use of the Voucher or Pass: February 14 and 15, March 08, May 1 and 3, December 31.
After each treatment, the Client is obliged to ensure that the Salon Reception staff marks the given Promotional Package with the NUSA hologram and labels it with the date of use of the treatment. It is forbidden to apply the markings and fill in the dates yourself.
Massages lasting less than the amount of time indicated in the respective Promotional Package are not subject to credit under the respective promotion. Massages lasting longer than indicated in the respective Promotional Package are only subject to credit in the amount of time indicated in the respective Promotional Package. If a Promotional Package is used by a Package owner together with a companion, both of them may take advantage of the credit of the Massage taken for the Promotional Package according to the rules in the preceding sentences.
The purchaser, the recipient or any other designated person is entitled to use the Voucher by prior arrangement with the NUSA Salon Reception.
